Echocardiography Tech I D escr ip t i on : Echocardi ograph y Techn o logist Full J o b D esc rip t i o n I N otes : Position Objective : P erforms echocardiograph i c procedures , using spec i al equ i pment , to measure , ca l culate , and report pert i nent patient data to facil i tate accurate diagnost i c outcome . Essential Job Duties : Reasonable accommodations maybe made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Conducts Echocardiograms as requested throughout the Medical Center, including all patient rooms and the emergency room . Explains procedure to patients, providing instructions and direct care to ensure accuracy and patient comfort. Assesses data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient requirement. Recognizes artifacts, eliminates probable sources and troubleshoots minor equipment problems. Consistently meets department standards for RVUs while maintaining quality work. Processes images acquired from different modalities according to established policies and procedures. Performs data entry as it relates to procedures, in PACS and Electronic Health Record Practices radiation safety and ensures that other staff and students are compliant. Obtains pertinent clinical data adequately as it relates to procedures performed.
