The Department of Mental Health (DMH)'s Brockton Multi Service Center (BMSC) is seeking an experienced clinician (LICSW) to lead one of its state-operated Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) teams. The identified candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary team inclusive of LPHAs, nurses, peer specialists, mental health workers, and other identified specialists in providing comprehensive, wrap-around services to individuals living in the community experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorder(s). The ACCS Team Leader will support staff with providing trauma-informed, person-centered assessments and treatment planning activities, ensuring that interventions utilize evidence based and/or best practices. The ACCS Team Leader will also ensure the timely completion of comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and other paperwork; will implement the EPRS; will oversee utilization review to ensure face-to-face encounters occur in accordance with contractual requirements, and that all communications/contacts are reflected in documentation and billing reports. Additional duties include but are not limited to: support and provide onboarding & orientation to staff; assess emergency situations and develop plan(s) of action; ensure documentation meets agency and licensing standards; review and analyze outcome measures as well as other data related to the contract; maintain electronic databases; perform personnel functions inclusive of providing support/contacts to persons served and holding cases as needed; participate in performance improvement initiatives and performs related work as required.
Please Note: This position is 40 hours per week. The identified candidate will work from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. The days off are Saturday and Sunday. Duties and Responsibilities (these duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive): • Supervise ACCS staff by regularly convening clinical and administrative meetings to plan for community-based treatment and to adequately convey agency policy and directives. • Provide clinical supervision and feedback to team members, and ensure that DMH service principles, and core principles of the ACCS model, are provided at all stages of treatment. • Assign cases to ACCS team members, ensuring timely outreach, scheduling and use of engagement strategies to engage persons in services. • Ensure ongoing communication amongst team and agency providers to ensure coordination of treatment planning and for sharing of pertinent information through use of daily rounds, weekly team meetings, case consultations, etc. • Provide direct care to clients by completing assessments, providing supporting counseling and any other support when necessary. • Monitor the quality and appropriateness of care given to ACCS clients through clinical sharing, record auditing, providing direct supervision and by conveying the principles of recovery and rehabilitation, and ensure compliance with DMH, Licensing, Joint Commission and agency standards. • Provide oversight and monitoring of team members' communication, clinical interventions and treatment assigned to Group Living Environment (GLE) programs to ensure that the full complement of services are available to persons residing in GLE settings. • Promote and support individual growth and recovery as well as cultivating and embracing peer-to-peer education and support. • Promote overall health and well-being by addressing the Eight Dimensions of Wellness: Emotional, Environmental, Financial, Intellectual, Occupational, Physical, Social and Spiritual. • Ensure integration with Care Coordination entities such as DMH targeted Case Management, BHCP, One Care, etc. • Respond to crises and emergency situations by intervening immediately with appropriate clinical assessment and interventions. • Responsible for maintaining a therapeutic atmosphere through professional performance and attitude to promote quality care and personal growth for persons served. • Develop and maintain a tracking system to monitor the timely completion of required documentation. • Conduct utilization review to ensure all billing is complete, accurate and submitted on time. • Support the coordination and facilitating of Licensing and other related reviews, and responsible for developing and implementing any corrective action plans that are as a result of such reviews. • Maintains supervision log and notes for all staff supervision. • Evaluates the quality of work of staff as indicated by ongoing performance counseling, performance logs, and performance reviews according to the EPRS cycle. • Provides constructive disciplinary counseling of assigned staff according to DMH policy and documents in informal notes and formal progressive disciplinary letters in collaboration with the Program Director and BMSC Director/Clinical Director. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience working with people experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorder(s). • Previous supervisory experience, particularly clinical supervision of LPHAs. • Bi-lingual preferred. Special Requirements: • The following Massachusetts License is required for this position: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). • Current and valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's license or equivalent license from the state in which you reside for travel. REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience as a clinical social worker after earning a Master's degree in social work.
SUBSTITUTIONS: - A Doctorate in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, counseling education, or human services may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of two years of education for one year of experience.
- One year of education equals 30 semester hours. Education toward a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
A Master's or higher degree in social work is required.
LICENSES:
- Licensure as a Licensed Certified Social Worker or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Social Work is required.

Those employees who elect to use a motor vehicle for travel must have a current and valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator's license or the equivalent from another state. Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate's years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division's Hiring Guidelines.
