Senior BI Developer

Location: Remote

SUMMARY: Designs, develops, and maintains customer-facing web applications and enterprise software solutions utilizing Microsoft .NET technologies. Works closely with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and development teams to implement scalable, secure, and high-performing applications in both on-premises and cloud-based environments.

Responsible for application architecture, API development, database integration, cloud deployments, and ongoing software maintenance. Designs and develops reusable Web API platforms and shared application frameworks to support multiple enterprise applications with secure authentication and service-oriented architecture principles.

Works with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, create technical specifications, develop software solutions, and support production systems. Familiar with a wide variety of modern and legacy Microsoft development technologies, frameworks, and methodologies. Relies on extensive technical experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while following coding standards, best practices, and enterprise architecture guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Designs and develops customer-facing web applications utilizing Microsoft .NET technologies and modern front-end frameworks. • Develops and maintains applications utilizing React with .NET Web API back-end services. • Designs and develops reusable Web API platforms to support multiple enterprise applications with secure authentication and authorization. • Develops and maintains .NET console applications and enterprise service applications.

Implements object-oriented programming standards, coding best practices, and service-oriented architecture principles to improve scalability and performance. • Develops and supports both .NET Web APIs and WCF services for enterprise integrations. • Designs and develops SQL Server database solutions utilizing custom SQL queries, stored procedures, and ORM technologies such as Entity Framework. • Analyzes project requirements and implements shared ORM data access layers utilizing generics and inheritance methodologies. • Supports cloud-hosted and hybrid application environments utilizing Microsoft Azure technologies. • Develops and maintains applications utilizing both on-premises SQL databases and Azure-

hosted database platforms. • Supports and enhances legacy ASP.NET AJAX applications utilizing Telerik RadControls and Reporting Controls. • Develops GIS (Geographic Information System) applications utilizing Google Maps and Bing Maps APIs. • Collaborates with management, business users, and technical teams to define detailed application and system design specifications. • Develops test cases and integrates third-party APIs and external application services into existing enterprise applications. • Performs code reviews, application performance analysis, technical documentation, and software design documentation. • Develops and maintains Azure DevOps pipelines and cloud resources including App Services, Service Bus, Application Insights, and databases. • Provides technical support for software implementation, maintenance, and production application monitoring. • Coordinates software installations, upgrades, deployments, and post-production support activities. • Monitors application performance and resolves production issues in a timely manner. • Supports after-hours deployments, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting when required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Minimum of 10 years of overall software application design and development experience. • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET application development technologies. • Strong experience developing front-end applications utilizing React and JavaScript frameworks. • Strong experience developing RESTful APIs utilizing .NET Core and ASP.NET technologies. • Experience designing scalable enterprise application architectures and reusable software components. • Strong knowledge of SQL Server database development, optimization, and administration. • Experience utilizing ORM technologies such as Entity Framework. • Experience supporting cloud, hybrid, and on-premises application environments utilizing Microsoft Azure. • Knowledge of Azure DevOps pipelines, CI/CD processes, and cloud resource management. • Experience integrating third-party APIs and enterprise services. • Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design principles. • Experience developing GIS applications and integrating mapping technologies preferred. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving technology environment.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered. Minimum of 10 years of professional software development experience required.
