Our district educates approximately 10,500 students (representing 50 languages) in preschool through eighth grades in 22 outstanding schools. Our family of schools includes three middle schools (Grades 6-8), fifteen elementary schools (TK/K-5), three schools with all grades (K-8), and one Early Education Center. We also have preschools co-located at our six elementary sites. We have various theme based schools: Montessori, Immersion (Spanish and Mandarin), and STEM.

Job Summary

San Mateo-Foster City School District is accepting applications for our Para Educator II Exceptional Children Pool (teacher assistants) at various school sites.


6.5 hours/day


Definition:
Under general supervision, to provide specialized instructional, behavioral, physical, and medical assistance to exceptional students with severe handicaps; to operate a specialized learning center for special needs students; to provide instructional record keeping support; to perform routine clerical duties; and to perform related work as required. Assist student in toileting and personal hygiene, change soiled clothing and remind student to use bathroom.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Proof of HS Graduation
