Commercial Project Manager

Project Manager - Commercial Construction Location: Birmingham, AL Position Type: Full-Time About The Opportunity A well-established commercial construction company based in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who has progressed from an Assistant Project Manager role and is ready to take full ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Project Management experience, a strong background managing ground-up construction projects, and experience overseeing projects ranging from $5M-$40M. Commercial construction experience is preferred, but candidates with diverse ground-up project experience will be considered. Responsibilities Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and overall project plans Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents Manage project costs, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and pay applications Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with project stakeholders Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and financial performance Identify potential issues and develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget Provide leadership and guidance to Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project staff Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and design teams Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the company's quality standards Qualifications 5+ years of construction Project Management experience Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager/APM required Experience managing projects ranging from $5M-$40M Commercial construction experience strongly preferred Diverse ground-up construction experience will be considered Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, scheduling, and project financials Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively resolve project challenges Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred Why Join?
