About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN - Postpartum Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current Mother Baby RN experience License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Candidates without the required skills will not be considered for the role Description: This role involves providing care for postpartum mothers and their newborns. You will be working in a unit with a total of 10 beds and a staff of 26. There are three mom baby RNs and one transition RN for the night shift. Patient ratios are 3-4 couplets per nurse. Typical equipment used includes CPN charting, infant warmers, bassinets, and IV pumps. The EMR system in use is Meditech & CPN. Candidates with a personal connection capability with patients will be prioritized. Flexibility is preferred, especially if you have transition experience. Procedures performed on the unit include circumcisions, staple removal, and newborn testing. The ideal candidate is friendly, hardworking, and positive. Self-scheduling options are available, promoting work-life balance. Staff members are tenured, and the unit has recently undergone remodeling and an equipment overhaul. The unit serves a diverse population of patients and provides lactation support.
