Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
Seeking a Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a busy medical-surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, ensuring safety and comfort while adhering to unit protocols and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care for 4-6 patients, utilizing standard and specialized techniques.
• Monitor patient vital signs and interpret telemetry data to identify and respond to cardiac and other critical issues.
• Administer medications, insert IVs, and perform urinary catheter and central line maintenance following best practices.
• Document patient progress accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to create and update individualized care plans.
• Adhere to unit policies, dress code, and safety protocols, including rotating weekends and on-call shifts.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with active state licensing.
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute med/surg experience, including telemetry.
• Demonstrated ability to care for 4-6 patients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with IV insertions, medication administration, and EHR documentation.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills.
• CPR certification required.
