Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical, Nights

Location

Roswell, New Mexico

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a general Medical Surgical unit, including post-operative orthopedic and general surgery patients
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6, with occasional 1:7 on a 36-bed unit with high patient turnover
• Perform timely admissions and discharges in a fast-paced environment
• Float as needed, including occasional assignments to ICU for step-down or Medical Surgical overflow patients
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Mindray Telemetry System for documentation and patient monitoring

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must be eligible for New Mexico state fingerprinting; candidates' submitting agency must be registered with the state of New Mexico (fingerprint process may take several weeks)
• Ability to float as needed and work every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR and/or Mindray Telemetry systems
• Familiarity with step-down or ICU-level patient care
