A private family is seeking a highly organized and proactive House Manager to oversee the daily operations of their residence in Highland Park, IL. This position is ideal for a resourceful professional who enjoys creating structure, managing household logistics, and serving as a trusted point person for a busy family. The schedule requires flexibility, including daytime hours as well as occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight coverage when needed. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary of $70,000–$80,000. Responsibilities of the House Manager: Serve as the primary point of contact for all household operations, ensuring the home functions efficiently and remains well organized. Manage household systems and projects, including organization initiatives, laundry coordination, light housekeeping needs, and routine property upkeep. Maintain household inventories and ensure groceries, supplies, and family essentials are consistently stocked and readily available. Coordinate scheduling with vendors, contractors, maintenance professionals, and other service providers while overseeing appointments and follow-through. Handle a wide range of household and personal logistics, including errands, scheduling support, and special projects as requested. Facilitate transportation for children to and from school, extracurricular activities, appointments, and other engagements. Provide support during after-school hours and assist with evening and weekend responsibilities as family schedules require. Assist with household continuity and supervision during periods of family travel, including occasional overnight coverage when needed. Qualifications of the House Manager: Previous experience in household management, family support, personal assistance, childcare, or a comparable role within a private residence. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and operate independently.
