You'll work alongside experienced engineers on projects that impact communities throughout Indiana while gaining exposure to roadway, drainage, traffic, and multimodal transportation design.

What You'll Do
• Develop preliminary and final engineering design deliverables
• Perform roadway rehabilitation and reconstruction design
• Support intersection and roundabout design projects
• Perform roadway drainage design and utility coordination
• Design curb ramps, sidewalks, and multi-use paths
• Support traffic signal design and transportation improvements
• Lead assigned design tasks and provide guidance to other engineering staff
• Apply engineering standards, criteria, and sound technical judgment
• Prepare plans and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Collaborate with engineers, project teams, clients, and public agencies
• Help evaluate design alternatives and develop practical engineering solutions

What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 1-3 years of professional engineering experience
• Knowledge of INDOT standards, procedures, and specifications
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D for roadway and drainage design
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines

Preferred Experience
• Local Public Agency (LPA) project experience
• Traffic signal design
• Roundabout design
• Drainage design
• Curb ramp, sidewalk, or multi-use path design
• Utility coordination
• Familiarity with AASHTO standards
• Indiana Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer ( PTOE ) certification
