Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU Main Job ID: 26004078 Work Location Texas Health Allen – 1105 Central Expwy North, TX 75013 Work Hours Part Time – 24 Hours per week; Days; Two 12‑hour shifts per week, including on‑call requirements PACU Highlights Robust Unit-Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team Fast‑paced, high‑volume department The professional nurse exhibits an understanding of basic human needs The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of the patient’s affiliations Required Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma Nurse Program BSN preferred At least 1 year of critical care experience as a registered nurse strongly preferred RN – Registered Nurse upon hire BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90‑day requirement PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred upon hire Responsibilities Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age‑specific safety and infection control measures into patient care Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers Benefits 401k, PTO, medical, dental, paid parental leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment programs and other benefits Delivery of high quality patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice Strong Unit-Based Council (UBC) Supportive team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth #J-18808-Ljbffr Texas Health Resources
