Details Orthopedic hospital setting on the 2nd floor Operating Room with 17 operating rooms One scrub and one circulator staffed per room with support techs available for positioning and other duties Most surgeons are assisted by a PA, CST, or NP during procedures Day shift schedule with no night shift coverage Procedures include large joint, hand, foot, and scope orthopedic surgeries as well as spine (no neurosurgery) Uses Meditech EMR Shift runs 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with staff reporting at 6:45 AM for huddle on Mon/Wed/Fri; shift ends at 5:15 PM those days with no second shift relief On-call requirement of approximately 4 times per month, Monday through Friday only, with no weekend call Call typically involves staying over to finish cases Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Operating Room specialty required Large joint and spine orthopedic surgical experience required Experience in total joints and spine procedures preferred No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted) Additional Information ER on-site is not trauma designated and has 1 bed Unit staffed by approximately 70 team members Scrub color required is Ciel Blue (sky blue); scrubs are not provided by the facility Free parking garage available for employees and contractors Facility recognized for top employee and physician engagement within HCA Consistently maintains greater than 90% patient satisfaction ratings Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered American Traveler Job ID P-720818.
