Join a dynamic surgical team as a Certified Surgical Technologist, serving in a busy labor and delivery department within a prominent regional healthcare network in the Southeastern United States. This role primarily functions as the scrub technologist in the surgical suite, ensuring smooth and safe surgical procedures.

You will assist in complex surgical cases, operate and manage life-saving monitoring equipment, and maintain sterile environments. The position requires extensive standing, walking, bending, lifting, and transferring anesthetized patients, along with pushing heavy equipment. Manual dexterity, excellent eye-hand coordination, and sharp visual and auditory acuity are essential.

Must hold the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. A minimum of one year of experience as a surgical technologist is preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of standard precautions and infection control practices is required. Candidates should be comfortable working variable shifts and long hours. Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are necessary. Familiarity with the physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual needs of patients across age groups is important.

This role involves direct contact with blood and other potentially infectious materials through skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral exposure. The position demands physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.
