Outside Sales Representative – Wholesale Window Coverings

Florida Territory | Outside Sales / Business Development

Shade & Light, Inc., a family-owned wholesale window covering manufacturer established in 1988, is expanding our sales team throughout Florida.

We are hiring three Outside Sales Representatives , each responsible for developing one designated Florida territory:

North Florida | South Florida | West Florida

This is a business-development position for a motivated salesperson who enjoys getting out into the market, building relationships, opening new accounts, and growing a territory.

Our goal is simple: the more business you build, the more you earn.

What You'll Do

• Prospect for and open new wholesale dealer accounts within your territory
• Develop relationships with window covering retailers, interior designers, decorators, builders, contractors, and other industry professionals
• Visit prospective customers throughout your territory
• Introduce potential dealers to Shade & Light products, pricing, programs, and services
• Follow up consistently with prospects and convert opportunities into active accounts
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with the accounts you bring to Shade & Light
• Identify new sales opportunities and underserved markets within your territory
• Work closely with our inside sales, customer service, and production teams
• Represent Shade & Light professionally throughout your territory

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

• A motivated salesperson and relationship builder
• Comfortable prospecting and developing new business
• Self-directed and able to manage a sales territory
• Professional, personable, and persistent
• Strong with follow-up and communication
• Comfortable traveling throughout their assigned territory
• Interested in building long-term income rather than simply earning a fixed salary

Previous outside sales or business-development experience is preferred.

Experience in window coverings, interior design, building products, home improvement, construction, flooring, cabinetry, furniture, or another dealer-based industry is a strong plus.

Compensation

This position is designed to reward performance.

We offer a starting base plus commission , with the opportunity to grow compensation substantially based on the new accounts and sales you develop.

Our compensation structure is intended to allow a successful salesperson to build ongoing income from the accounts they bring to Shade & Light , rather than placing a low ceiling on earning potential.

As your territory and sales grow, your income grows with it.

We provide a broad selection of products to dealers throughout Florida, including roller and solar shades, motorized shades, cellular shades, Roman shades, woven woods, faux wood blinds, mini blinds, vertical blinds, panel tracks, shutters, and more.
