Overview Bay Ready Mix is actively seeking skilled diesel mechanics to join our team in the Jessup, Maryland area. This position is essential for maintaining our fleet of medium and heavy-duty trucks, as well as material handling and construction equipment. Position Overview The ideal candidate will bring knowledge and hands-on expertise in vehicle maintenance, focusing on preventive maintenance (PM), follow-up repairs, and hydraulic systems. An understanding of DOT inspection compliance is also a crucial aspect of this role. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and follow-up repairs on medium and heavy-duty trucks, material handling equipment, and construction equipment. Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and related components. Ensure compliance with DOT inspection requirements. Policies Reasonable Suspicion Testing policy: Any employee displaying signs of being under the influence will be subject to drug and alcohol testing. Determination of reasonable suspicion must be based on specific, contemporaneous observations concerning appearance, behavior, speech or body odor. Safety and Supervision Managers/supervisors must ensure employees are physically and mentally able to perform duties.
