Grain Quality Laboratory AnalystRequired Education • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, or a closely related scientific or engineering field, with relevant industry experience.Required Qualifications • Approximately 1–3 years of relevant laboratory experience, with preference for candidates bringing 3 or more years of related industry experience. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical procedures and accurately document results. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. • Ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, and meet testing deadlines. • Ability to routinely lift items weighing approximately 35–40 pounds.Preferred Qualifications • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: total combustion analysis, elemental analysis, calorimetry, gas chromatography (GC), NIR spectroscopy, NMR, total oil analysis, colorimetry, falling number, farinograph, mixograph, or bench-top wet chemical analyses. • Experience using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). • Experience in grain quality, seed testing, agricultural science, food science, or industrial analytical laboratories. • Familiarity with ISO procedures, laboratory quality standards, and analytical data integrity.Summary Seeking a Grain Quality Laboratory Analyst to support agricultural testing and analytical laboratory operations at its Ankeny, Iowa, facility. This position is responsible for receiving and preparing samples, conducting laboratory analyses, maintaining accurate records, and delivering reliable results in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on laboratory experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple testing priorities while following established quality procedures.Responsibilities • Receive, identify, label, and prepare incoming samples for laboratory testing. • Verify analytical testing requests and ensure samples are processed according to established ISO work instructions. • Perform laboratory analyses and accurately document and report results. • Operate analytical instruments and laboratory equipment to support grain quality and related testing programs. • Maintain data integrity, accurate sample records, and compliance with laboratory procedures. • Prioritize testing activities based on customer needs, project deadlines, and laboratory capacity. • Coordinate laboratory work with team members across multiple disciplines to ensure timely, efficient results. • Maintain an organized, safe, and quality-focused laboratory environment.**Drug screen & criminal background check will be required****Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.****Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client's business needs and requirements.**
