This role serves as a key member of the site leadership team and partners closely with functional leaders, employees, internal/external customers, and the broader enterprise to drive operational excellence.The Production Operations Senior Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the manufacturing team, ensuring the organization safely delivers high-quality products while achieving business, financial, and operational objectives. This position covers all production areas in Archbald including Metal Fabrication, Circuit Card Assembly, Cable Wire Harness, and Electro-Mechanical / Electrical Systems Integration.This leader will establish the vision and operating strategy for the manufacturing team and create an environment where people are empowered to perform at their best, continuously improve processes, and deliver exceptional results.Key responsibilities will include:Establish and execute the manufacturing operations strategy in alignment with overall business objectivesTranslate business goals into clear operational priorities, measurable objectives, and accountabilityDevelop long-term capacity, capability, and resource plans to support current and future needsProvide leadership across manufacturing operations, partnering closely with production planning & control, manufacturing engineering, quality, ESH, program management, and related functions to ensure production commitments are metDrive a culture of continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, standard work, and disciplined problem solvingEstablish safety as a fundamental operating value and ensure all employees understand their responsibility for maintaining a safe workplacePartner with Quality and Engineering organizations to address root causes and prevent recurrence of quality defectsBuild and maintain a high-performing manufacturing and front-line leadership teamDevelop future leaders through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and meaningful development opportunitiesCreate an environment of accountability, trust, collaboration, and respectBuild positive employee relations through consistency, transparency, listening, and responsivenessEngage employees by communicating the organization’s vision, priorities, and performanceDrive productivity, cost reduction, labor efficiency, and effective utilization of resourcesDevelop and manage operating budgets and capital investment plansEstablish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersRepresent the team/site with customers, senior leadership, and other key stakeholders as requiredIdentify opportunities to improve the site’s long-term competitivenessBuild an organization capable of sustaining growth while maintaining safety, quality, delivery, and cost performanceBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a technical fieldStrong and positive communication skills with an ability to influence others, inclusive of programs, vendors, customer, and community partnersProven success building a high-functioning organization and developing talentDemonstrated commitment to ensuring a safe operating environment and a culture that prioritizes safetyDemonstrated capability to drive production execution and test operations, utilizing Lean Six Sigma manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to meet quality, cost and scheduleSignificant project management and production experience operating in a manufacturing environmentStrong track record developing and maintaining internal and external relationships with sites, programs, customer program offices, DCMA, and community leadershipExperience creating and delivering executive level presentationsSuccess leading production transformation and successful 6S and constraint managementDemonstrated ability to make critical decisions, set priorities, and provide succinct direction in a dynamic environmentDesired SkillsPrior experience leading leaders of large teamsPrior experience leading manufacturing teams responsible for one or more of the following areas: metal fabrication, circuit card assembly, cable wire warness, Electro-Mechanical / Electrical Systems IntegrationKnowledge of SAP and Apriso toolsTransition experience from development to production and production rate increasesExperience leading an organization during a period of significant growthGreen or Black Belt CertificationPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $142800.00 - $265200.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
