Psychiatrist - Part-time

*Job Description * Join our Team at the *Department of Veterans VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, Menlo Park, CA as a Physician - Psychiatrist (Part-Time)! * *Major duties include but are not limited to: Clinical* * Evaluation and management of patients both face-to-face and by telehealth. * The incumbent will be responsible for evaluation of patients in outpatient mental health clinics. The incumbent may also supervise trainees, including medical students and residents, in all of these settings. * Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods. Instructs other personnel assigned to health care team on preventive medicine programs and other appropriate medical activities and functions. *Administrative* * Provide oversight and leadership for the clinical functions of staff and trainees associated with their treatment teams, including RNPs and clinical pharmacists. * Serve in hospital or service level committees such as Medication Management Committee or Pain Committee. * Supports and enhances VAPAHCS philosophy and goals. * Responsible for ensuring Research outcome studies are routinely conducted according to VAPAHCS policies and procedures. *Benefits and Features * * *Expected Salary Range *from* $301,714 - $320,972 *(negotiable based on candidate's qualifications, credentials and experience). * *Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): *Authorized. * *Work Schedule: *Part-time, schedule to be determined by supervisor. * *Pay:* Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases. * *Paid Time Off:* 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME). * *Retirement:* Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA. * *Insurance: *Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement). * *Licensure:* 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory. * *CME:* Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification). * *Malpractice:* Free liability protection with tail coverage provided. * *Contract:* No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting.
