Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4 Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 1 year in related nursing specialty preferred License: RN License required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS required, CPI highly preferred Must-Have: Strong written and verbal communication skills, basic computer knowledge Description: Demonstrates proficiency and independence in the care of patients and their families. Applies and documents the nursing process, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Consults with staff and management on nursing problems to ensure patient needs are met. Continues to learn new skills and maintains clinical competency to provide direct and safe patient care. Meets expectations of applicable competencies. Promotes positive public relations by presenting oneself in a professional manner. Assists in community service programs as requested. Demonstrates effective communication skills necessary to interact with diverse populations. Always displays a positive attitude. Develops and maintains good relationships with co-workers and other staff. Practices the five rights of medication administration. Demonstrates efficient time management skills to maximize productivity. Encourages teamwork and asks for assistance when necessary. Supports the mission and philosophy of the organization. Acts as a patient advocate, including involving families in patient care while respecting confidentiality. Respects patients' cultural and religious beliefs. Effectively deals with end-of-life decisions. Is accountable for actions, behaviors, and decisions. Utilizes the chain of command to resolve issues. Participates in quality activities as required.
