Dermatology Physician

Provides clinical and administrative services involving dermatology medical care to patients in a specialty practice setting.

• Examine skin to identify and diagnose disorders and diseases of the human skin.
• Perform surgical procedures ranging from biopsy to excision to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Conduct complete skin evaluations.
• Take medical histories and use a dermatoscope (magnifying or illuminated device), to detect abnormalities or malignancies.
• Use diagnostic techniques, such as biopsies, to identify diseases and determine appropriate therapies.
• Prescribes and administers patient medications.
• Performs a variety of laboratory procedures, examines sample tissues, and uses various biological and chemical analyses to identify harmful organisms or pathological conditions.
• Monitor the effectiveness of skin treatments and make necessary improvements or changes.

• Participates in Medical Staff activities as required and/or as requested.
• Observes the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Hospital and the Medical Staff.
• Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.
• Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
• Document patient records and progress including symptoms, medications, and treatments.

• Performs other related duties as identified.

• Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
