Clinical Laboratory Team Lead - DNA

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Team Lead for DNA testing at its Burlington, North Carolina facility. The role involves day-to-day departmental operations, staff training and development, specimen processing, and quality assurance in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and generate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
• Train new hires and support development of current laboratory staff
• Assess specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical testing procedures
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and prepare quality controls
• Maintain safe work environment and perform preventive maintenance and quality control documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 4+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience
• ASCP and/or AMT certifications preferred
• 6+ months of team supervision or leadership experience preferred
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Experience in high-volume laboratory environments
