Location

Laveen, AZ | Emergency Room (Multi-Site)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shifts | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting across multiple satellite locations in the greater Phoenix area (Goodyear, Camelback, Mesa, Glendale, Surprise, and Laveen); schedules are provided in advance so staff are aware of their assigned location
• Function as one of only two RNs on staff at satellite ER locations, managing a patient ratio of 4:1
• Perform lab draws and IV insertions as part of ER staff responsibilities (no dedicated IV team on site)
• Operate ventilators; vent-capable experience is expected in this role
• Document and manage patient care using Cerner EMR
• Complete required Day 1 orientation activities including a pass/fail SIMs Lab assessment covering Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion, as well as educational modules on lifts, restraints, and wound care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (maximum of 2 attempts allowed)
• Must demonstrate competency in sterile field technique; SIMs Lab is pass/fail on Day 1 of orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification (preferred but not required)
• Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Experience working in low-staffing or satellite/community ER environments
