Salary: $60,000 - $60,000 per year

Position Overview

We are partnering with an established manufacturer in the home furnishings industry seeking an energetic and relationship-driven Account Representative to develop and grow retail accounts throughout the Dallas market.

Based out of the company's Dallas-area showroom, this position combines account management, inside sales, customer engagement, product education, training events, and periodic field visits. The Account Representative will develop relationships with new and existing retail customers, serve as a primary point of contact, and identify opportunities to increase customer engagement and sales.

A primary objective and key performance indicator for this position is driving retail account participation in company-sponsored product training and educational events.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective retail accounts
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers and provide ongoing account and sales support
• Enroll retail customers into company-sponsored product training and educational events
• Maintain a structured daily cadence of customer outreach, including calls, emails, and follow-up activities
• Create and maintain a monthly schedule of virtual customer education and product sessions
• Conduct virtual and in-person presentations covering products, promotions, sales opportunities, and upcoming events
• Identify opportunities to increase customer engagement, product adoption, and account sales
• Plan and conduct monthly customer field visits to support business growth
• Travel throughout the assigned market, including occasional multi-day and overnight trips
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, account history, sales opportunities, and competitive intelligence within Salesforce
• Track account sales potential by product and competitor
• Gather competitive and market intelligence through ongoing customer interactions
• Review account opportunities, sales potential, and competitive activity with management
• Maintain consistent customer follow-up regarding products, promotions, training opportunities, and company initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous experience in account management, inside sales, showroom sales, B2B sales, or a similar customer-facing sales role
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Experience with proactive customer outreach and follow-up
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable conducting virtual and in-person customer presentations
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Self-starter with the ability to independently manage a structured daily outreach schedule
• Proficiency with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform
• Ability to identify customer needs and account growth opportunities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Willingness and ability to travel in the field up to 25%
• Ability to complete overnight travel approximately once per month
• Valid driver's license, reliable automobile, and current automobile insurance

Preferred:

• Experience within home furnishings, interior design, building products, flooring, furniture, architectural products, or related industries
• Experience supporting retailers, dealers, designers, showrooms, or other B2B accounts
• Experience conducting product training, customer education, lunch-and-learns, or similar events
• Experience within a showroom-based or dealer-based sales environment
