Job Description

Job Summary:
Perform diagnostic CT procedures with precision, ensuring high-quality imaging while adhering to safety standards. Responsible for calibration, quality control, and accuracy in administering radiopharmaceuticals, supporting diagnostic and therapeutic processes.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT equipment utilizing appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce diagnostic-quality images.
• Conduct daily calibration checks and quality control tests on all imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients per physician orders, verifying activity levels and proper receipt.
• Document all procedures, including logs, manuals, charge reports, and report equipment issues in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines, including ALARA principles, performing safety and QA tests regularly.
• Prepare and retrieve patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Hold a valid New York State License (L.R.T) and ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
• Possess at least 1 year of CT experience demonstrating proficiency in protocol execution.
• Maintain current BLS certification and comply with NYS DOH licensing requirements.
• Demonstrate strong judgment in assessing patient needs before, during, and after procedures.
