Job Description The School Nurse at Y.A.L.E. School assumes the professional responsibility for providing medical care to students in a safe, supportive and positive school climate. Achieving excellence requires that the School Nurse work collaboratively with other members of the school staff and with parents. The School Nurse is also responsible for following state mandated reporting requirements regarding office visits, physicals, dispensation of medicine, and student attendance. School nurses are required to work 10 months (Sept 1-June 30) and six weeks in the summer. Y.A.L.E.
