The Role The QA/QC Manager oversees the implementation, supervision, and management of the quality control program. Responsibilities include coordinating documentation, inspecting materials, reviewing work against standards, and collaborating with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure quality and compliance. Responsibilities Coordinate, document, and track preparatory, initial, and follow‑up inspections. Lead, plan, and schedule weekly QC meetings and provide written reports. Provide daily QC reports that reinforce conformance to project standards. Offer status updates to executive management with recommendations for addressing substandard performance. Manage and support on‑site quality teams. Identify appropriate standards and procedures for specific tasks. Communicate best practices and lessons learned to enterprise leadership. Develop and maintain site‑specific quality plans, policies, and procedures. Ensure materials received for the project meet approved submittals and are stored appropriately. Participate in pre‑construction meetings with subcontractors and superintendents. Track construction deficiencies and verify corrective actions. Coordinate and document testing and commissioning of building systems. Assist project teams to ensure subcontractor compliance with safety plans and conduct safety inspections. Maintain documentation of conformance to the quality plan. Monitor and resolve deficiencies to the quality plan. Understand and monitor testing and inspection processes, maintaining relationships with agencies. Identify the accuracy of subcontractor work. Know inspection requirements by city, county, and state to obtain TCO & CO. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, or related field; or relevant work experience considered in lieu of education. 5+ years of progressive experience in construction with increasing responsibility. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to walk job sites and climb ladders and scaffolding. Ability to lift 50 lb.
