Pipe Fitter

The Pipe Fitter is responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems in a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of materials to support safe and efficient operations. Shift Availability Day and Night shifts available Key Responsibilities Lay out, assemble, and install piping systems according to specifications Cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand tools, power tools, and equipment Work with metal and non-metal piping, including steel and stainless steel Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Set up and use welding equipment as needed Select appropriate materials, supports, and components for each project Maintain accurate material usage and support inventory tracking as needed Keep work areas clean and organized Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 5 years of pipe fitting experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Knowledge of pipe materials, fitting techniques, and layouts Experience using hand and power tools related to pipe fitting Basic math skills for measurements and calculations Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) Attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Qualifications Technical training or certification in pipe fitting Welding experience (MIG or similar) Experience with advanced pipe fitting techniques or equipment Forklift and/or crane operation experience Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work performed in a manufacturing or shop environment Exposure to varying temperatures and industrial conditions Ability to stand and move throughout the shift as needed Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs with or without assistance Use of hands for tools, equipment, and material handling Ability to perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner #J-18808-Ljbffr
