Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Deliver end-to-end software solutions, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production troubleshooting.
Build Java and Python services, batch jobs, data pipelines, and full-stack applications.
Design pipeline orchestration, processing logic, dependency handling, failure handling, and service-level objectives.
Analyze data and pipeline execution to identify quality issues, drift, anomalies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
Develop data capabilities spanning ingestion, validation, transformation, storage, governance, lineage, and consumption.
Contribute to engineering communities, internal libraries, utilities, automation, and technology evaluations.
Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools while validating generated output through review, testing, and secure coding practices.

Requirements

5+ years of experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and production operational stability.
Full-stack development experience with Spring, Java, Python, Hibernate, Spark/PySpark, AWS cloud technologies, and Databricks.
Experience with relational databases and SQL, plus familiarity with NoSQL databases and data modeling.
Knowledge of the data management lifecycle, including ingestion, validation, transformation, storage, governance, lineage, and consumption.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in large enterprise environments with established controls and standards.
Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery, resiliency, security best practices, observability, and monitoring.
Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating AI-generated outputs.
Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
Preferred qualifications include AWS Solutions Architect or Developer certification, advanced data management lifecycle proficiency, and Git expertise.
