Proof Advertising is looking for an enthusiastic Art Director who can turn strategy into

smart, memorable creative work. This person will shape the visual direction of client

campaigns, own projects from concept through production, and work closely with

copywriters, strategists, account teams and production partners. We’re looking for someone who brings a point of view, sweats the details, collaborates well, and is comfortable presenting to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Turn strategy, audience insight and a strong brief into ideas people notice and remember.
• Develop original concepts and set the visual direction for integrated campaigns.
• Partner closely with copywriters to build ideas where words and visuals make each other better.
• Bring ideas to life across digital, social, print, video, experiential and whatever comes next.
• Present work with confidence, clearly explaining the thinking behind creative decisions.
• Take feedback thoughtfully while protecting what made the idea great in the first place.
• Sweat the details. Keep the work sharp, accurate and consistent before it goes out the door.
• Work closely with account and project management teams to make ambitious work happen on time and within scope.
• Guide the craft through production, including photo shoots, video, content development and final execution.
• Stay curious about design, advertising, culture and technology, and bring that curiosity back to the work.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in art direction, graphic design, advertising, visual communication or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3 or more years of experience in art direction, graphic design or a related creative role.
• Experience at a market-leading advertising agency is preferred.
• An online portfolio that shows both an intriguing level of design craftsmanship as well as strong conceptual thinking
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Experience with presentation and collaborative design tools such as Google Slides, PowerPoint or Figma.
• Strong knowledge of typography, composition, color, branding and production.
• Experience presenting creative work to clients and internal decision-makers.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a remote agency setting.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience directing photo or video production is preferred.
• Motion design or digital design experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Proof Advertising is a 100% remote company. Regular business hours are Monday

through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Employees must be available and responsive

during those hours. Occasional work outside regular business hours may be required

for urgent client needs, presentations or production schedules. Candidates preferably in the Austin area.
