Pharmacist

PharmacistTo ensure the delivery of competent, high quality clinical care in a caring compassionate environment.Responsibilities:Handles routine questions on department operations.Receives complaints and aware of how to initiate protocol.Demonstrates effective communication skills.Orientation to hospital campus and ability to provide accurate directions.Plans, organizes, gathers and assembles data.Demonstrates knowledge of common formats for correspondence and reposts.Processes Outpatient prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner.Completes Inpatient orders accurately and in a timely manner.Educates customers with pertinent information applicable to orders, prescriptions, and administration of medications.Manages inventory and sustains adequate inventory of controlled and non-controlled drugs.Provides accurate and timely OTC consults to customers.Documents drug transactions accurately.Demonstrates accountability and responsibility with Pharmacy equipment and software.Operates Pyxis system correctly per pharmacy procedure.Oversees third party reimbursement and coverage for Outpatient prescriptions consistent with insurances, regulatory agencies and hospital policy.Minimum Education:Must be a graduate from an approved school of pharmacy.Required Licenses:Must be licensed by the state of Kentucky as a pharmacist.Must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide care according to licensure requirements.Minimum Work Experience:• One year working experience in clinical setting as a pharmacist.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
