Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of ICU experience required License: State License Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) Must-Have: Floating required Description: This position follows the clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone and text where applicable with decisions typically made the same day or by the next business day. This role provides critical care to seriously ill patients in an intensive care unit. The responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, performing complex procedures, and responding rapidly to medical emergencies. Collaboration with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans is essential. Staffing in the ICU is typically 2:1, with rare instances of 3:1. Floating to take holds is required, and there may be occasions to care for medical-surgical patients at a 5:1 ratio. Weekend coverage includes 5 weekend days out of six weeks.
