Exciting Opportunity for Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description:
- Are you a passionate Registered Nurse (RN) ready to make a significant impact?

- Execute Licensed Independent Provider's orders and dispense medications as needed.
- Assist in examinations and treatments of patients while utilizing your clinical skills.
- Attend sick call with the physician and prepare inmates/residents for examination.
- Operate pill call, dispense medication, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Call Licensed Independent Providers for treatment orders or emergencies.
- Assess new inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries and refer them as necessary.
- Perform emergency procedures and notify providers for treatment orders.
- Supervise nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff.
- Foster a collaborative relationship with facility staff and outside provider agencies.
- Use sound independent judgment while adhering to corporate and facility policies.
- Evaluate medical services to prevent duplication and ensure efficiency.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality of all medical records.
- Assist in reviewing medical files and documenting services provided.
- Monitor potential catastrophic illnesses and audit pharmacy use.
- Counsel and educate inmates/residents on health issues.
- Process various reports and facilitate accreditation of the medical program.
- Prepare safety and accident reports, taking appropriate actions during emergencies.

Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Must possess current licensure in the state of employment.
- Valid driver's license required.
- One (1) year of professional nursing experience preferred.
