Title: Assistant, Electrician Position Type: Fulltime Staff Search Type: External - minimum 7 days Department: 50R100 - Campus Operations Division: 3R1000 - Administration and Engagement Position Location: Richmond Campus Driver Classification: Driver FLSA: Non-Exempt Schedule Type: Full Time (40 hrs per week or more) Hours Per Week: Additional Schedule Details: On Call and Overtime as required Posted Salary Grade: Non-Exempt - G11 Retirement: KERS Contact Person: Chris Obergfell Job Summary/Basic Functions The Electrician Assistant works directly with the electric shop supervisor on a daily basis and with the assistant director as need arises to assure that all university electrical systems operate at the highest efficiency. Minimum Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Experience One year of previous and directly related experience Licensure & Certifications Current Kentucky Drivers License Preferred Qualifications Job Duties 10% - Supports the smooth and efficient operations of the department and the University. - () 60% - Assists Electrician or Master electricians in performing routine maintenance on University electrical systems - (Essential) 10% - Leads Laborers in performing routine maintenance on university electrical equipment as required by established procedures. - (Essential) 10% - Assists in inventory control of required repair parts and tools as outlined in established procedures. - (Essential) 10% - Assists in time keeping, blueprint takeoffs, material lists and acquisition as required. - (Essential) Sponsorship This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
