DSRD Necropsy and Histology Technical Assistant
$21.78 - $36.31 per hourPfizer
Technical assistant role supporting necropsy and histology procedures for rodent and non-rodent specimens in a pharmaceutical research setting. Performs routine laboratory tasks under supervision while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and animal welfare guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Execute necropsy and histology techniques according to study protocols and standard operating procedures
- Collect, handle, and submit specimens with proper documentation and communication with pathology staff
- Maintain equipment functionality and ensure laboratory space organization and cleanliness
- Archive study records including tissues, slides, and blocks in accordance with timelines
- Coordinate with study directors and laboratory management on multiple concurrent projects
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good Laboratory Practice proficiency
- Technical knowledge in histology and/or anatomy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Physical capability to wear PPE and perform technical procedures including lifting and prolonged standing
Compensation: $21.78-$36.31 per hour, plus overtime and shift premiums
