Summary: Top investment bank is seeking an Equity Research Associate with deep
scientific background to support Biotechnology Analyst and Senior Pharma &
Biotech analyst (#1 ranked SMID Biotech/4x ranked team).
Responsibilities will include:
* Conducting proprietary research evaluating drug pipelines by analyzing
preclinical and clinical data, attending medical conferences, and speaking
with key opinion leaders
- Building and maintaining financial models
- Writing research reports for companies under coverage
- Creating statistical models/analyses of clinical trials
- Interpret and analyze industry/company news, patent law and litigations, and
clinical data
- Conceiving and executing differentiated project ideas
- Communicating with company management, internal sales and trading personnel,
and institutional investors
Key qualifications:
* Advanced degree (PhD/MD/PharmD) in life sciences –
immunology/neuroscience/oncology experience is a plus
* Ideal candidate qualities include competitiveness, drive, strong work ethic,
creativity, desire to be great, enthusiasm to learn, and a team player
- Sharp analytical skills in dissecting preclinical/clinical data
- 1+ years of experience in biopharmaceuticals equity research, buy-side,
healthcare consulting, or biopharmaceutical industry
- High proficiency in written/verbal communication
- Statistical background/Python is desirable
- Experience with clinical trial statistics and designs are a plus
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $100,000 - $120,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level
