Position: Admissions Director / Admissions Coordinator Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift | Flex as needed to meet facility needs: On call rotation and light travel

Admissions Director Responsibilities:
  • Obtain referral information from telephone and walk-in inquiries, including complete clinical and financial information required for admission committee approval
  • Collaborate with the business office to verify financial information is accurate and complete prior to patient admission
  • Achieve family commitment to tour the facility on 80% of viable referrals ; conduct facility tours with families
  • Manage the full admissions process , including explaining admission policies and ensuring all paperwork is complete upon admission
  • Monitor and update facility personnel on pending referrals , admissions, and necessary follow-up
  • Communicate referral source issues to the Marketing Director as they arise
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources
Admissions Director Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in admissions at a SNF , subacute , rehab , or other healthcare facility
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up
  • Professional telephone skills with the ability to handle referral calls effectively and efficiently
  • Computer proficiency with a marketing information system
  • Knowledge of the managed care industry preferred
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Commitment to protecting patient and resident rights and upholding professional standards
