Job Description
Exciting Opportunity in a Progressive Care Trauma Unit!

Job Description:


- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Location: Progressive Care Trauma / Telemetry Unit
- Patient Care: Provide care for adult patients after traumatic injuries requiring surgical interventions.
- Unit Size: 41-bed unit with telemetry monitoring for up to 14 patients.
- Patient Ratio: Flexible nurse to patient ratio of 1:4, flexing to 1:5 as needed.
- Supporting Team: Collaborate with IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more.
- Patient Diagnoses: Handle cases such as surgical trauma, gunshot wounds, assaults, motor vehicle crashes, and falls.
- Required Certifications:
- AHA ACLS
- BCLS
- NIHSS
- TELE
- Experience Needed:
- 2+ years for first-time travelers
- 1+ years of recent experience in the unit preferred
- Skills Required:
- Managing Dysrhythmias
- Central Line and PICC Line Care
- Blood Product Administration
- Chest Tube Management
- IV Management
- Wound Care
- Telemetry Monitoring
- Scheduling Commitment:
- 36 hours per week
- 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Floating Requirement: Must be willing to float within the health system as per census needs.
- Orientation: Available every Monday with compliance requirements pre-assignment.
- Pre-Assignment Testing: Complete tests and modules within 48 hours of signing the contract.
