Lead Sales Consultant

We are seeking a Lead Sales Consultant for an expanding mechanical business catering to the Columbus, OH area. The role is centered in Columbus and oversees the Southern Ohio region, requiring candidates to reside nearby or be open to moving. Assistance may be available for the right candidate.

This position focuses on promoting and marketing industrial air conditioning systems and cooling projects to manufacturing and industrial customers.

Individuals with experience in industrial cooling or industrial air conditioning systems are encouraged to apply.

The role functions in a design and installation mechanical contractor setting, collaborating closely with engineering and operational teams to facilitate project development and implementation.

The business has established a strong presence in the locality and is recognized for its cooperative team dynamic and familial atmosphere.

Duties

• Cultivate new business partnerships with manufacturing and industrial sites
• Foster connections with plant supervisors, engineering managers, and operational teams
• Identify prospects involving industrial air conditioning systems and associated mechanical systems
• Draft estimates, proposals, and project budgets
• Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to support project completion
• Uphold and expand relationships with current clientele
• Manage a roster of cooling project prospects

Prerequisites

• At least 5 years of experience handling industrial air conditioning systems OR industrial cooling systems
• At least 5 years of project sales experience marketing mechanical, cooling, or air conditioning systems
• Experience with a design and installation mechanical contractor or industrial maintenance provider
• Proficiency in preparing project estimates, proposals, and quotations
• Experience in generating new business and nurturing existing client connections
• Knowledge of ammonia cooling systems preferred but not mandatory
• Understanding of CO? cooling systems a bonus
• Strong communication and rapport-building abilities

Essential: This role necessitates experience in selling cooling or air conditioning mechanical systems. Candidates with solely service technician or manufacturing engineering backgrounds without sales expertise will not be a suitable match.
