Registered Nurse Inpatient 2- Pediatric Acute Care

Job Overview Position: Pediatric Acute Care Registered Nurse Location: Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee Shift: 7pm–7am Responsibilities Apply the nursing process to plan and implement care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Communicate pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborate in establishing patient goals and evaluate progress to ensure effective outcomes. Coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum. Analyze comprehensive information to determine nursing diagnoses. Continuously evaluate patient progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions. Promote health and maintain a safe environment. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Technical Capabilities Evidence‑Based Practice: search for evidence to answer clinical questions. Care Planning: anticipate resource needs, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments. Nursing Patient Education: provide education on practical applications. Nursing Patient Assessment & Evaluation: assess patients, conduct interviews and physical examinations. Qualifications Licensure: Registered Nurse. Experience: 1year of relevant nursing experience. Education: Graduate of an approved discipline‑specific program.
