Full Time AMECO Salaried Harrison, OH, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1366 Salary Range: $25.00 To $27.00 Hourly AMECO, a North American leader in Construction Site Services, Product Distribution, and Equipment Rental is seeking a Welder. This position is based out of our Harrison, OH facility. The Fabricator/Welder is responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing components from drawings, blueprints, and sample parts. A self-starter who displays a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality workmanship. Based on our small team environment dependability is critical, including the ability to work overtime when needed. This is a day shift position. Key Responsibilities Welding, fabricating, and repairing components from drawings, blueprints, and sample parts. Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with team members and internal/external customers. Compliance with all company policies/procedures and safety guidelines. Ensure work areas are organized efficiently while maintaining security/safety measures. Uphold AMECO’s productivity, quality, and safety standards. Perform all other duties as assigned. Work overtime as required by workload. Education Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum Qualifications At least three years of welding and fabrication experience. Highly proficient and able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certifications in FCAW (3G & 4G), GMAW (1G, including spray transfer on heavy steel) and SMAW (3G & 4G). Skills in brake, shear, grinders, and fabrication equipment. Experience in a shop environment utilizing SMAW, GMAW and FCAW processes. Heavy fabrication and repair experience is preferred. Capable of working at a fast pace. Self‑motivated, self‑reliant, able to work with little direction. Reliable and dependable with good attendance. Capable of multi-tasking and able to change direction or focus as priorities dictate. Certifications, Licenses, Registration Able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certifications in FCAW (3G & 4G), GMAW (1G, including spray transfer on heavy steel) and SMAW (3G & 4G). Supervisory Responsibilities None. Physical Demands/Requirements Position is physical and labor intensive, involving heavy lifting, climbing, standing, etc. Requires frequent sit/drive stand, walk, lift/carry, reach, stoop, push/pull, handle, talk, hear, climb steps, repetitive motions, eye/hand/foot coordination. Close vision required. Regularly lift, carry, or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Position frequently demands light to heavy physical work; standing >90% of the day. Travel/Other Requirements Availability as requested/required for after-hours emergency calls, necessary overtime as workload dictates.
