Shift Details:

• Various hours 6am-7pm

Dietitian Duties & Responsibilities:

• The position consists of reviewing records of clients, and medications to understand their nutritional needs.
• Based on assessment, they would develop a personalized meal plan.
• They may provide individual counseling and conduct training or workshops.
• They would assist with developing structured nutrition plans and menus.
• Also, assist in supervising activities of the kitchen department. Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for patients across various clinical settings.
• Counsel patients and families on nutrition, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Monitor patient progress and modify nutrition interventions as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Interpret laboratory values and clinical data to support nutrition recommendations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility nutrition standards and regulations.
• Educate healthcare staff on nutrition-related best practices as needed.
• Support quality improvement and patient education initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NY license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of one (1) year/s of recent experience as an Dietitian.
• Additional certifications may be required.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
