Project Engineer And Authorized Representative Of The Contracting Officer
Serve as a Project Engineer and Authorized Representative of the Contracting Officer, with full responsibility for monitoring and coordinating a wide variety of civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural construction projects.
Thorough knowledge of engineering and architectural practices, with a focus on quality assurance inspection and oversight of military, civil, and interagency construction, renovation, and facilities investment/preventative maintenance activities.
Technical Lead: Oversee contract administration, quality assurance, surveillance of construction; provide direction to engineers, construction representatives, and technicians; advise and assist employees in daily tasks, accepting or rejecting work.
Contract Administration: Assist with contract administration, plan/drawing reviews, contractor coordination, modifications, cost estimates, payment support, negotiations, design reviews, and meetings to resolve safety, schedule, and compliance issues
Lead QA inspections, monitor contractor compliance, recommend corrective actions, review progress and pay documentation, support change orders, resolve disputes, and ensure adherence to plans, specifications, safety, and environmental requirements
Ensure EM 385-1-1 compliance by inspecting work areas, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and documenting safety issues and resolutions in daily reports.
