Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (Days/Nights) | 36 Hours per Week | 72 Guaranteed Hours Biweekly (excluding on-call time)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour monitoring and advanced nursing care for patients recovering from complex heart, lung, and vascular surgeries
• Manage care for patients with severe cardiac and/or respiratory conditions in a high-acuity intensive care setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver specialized cardiothoracic intensive care
• Utilize electronic health record systems to document and coordinate patient care
• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond to critical changes in patient condition

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a CT/CVICU setting
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-operative care following complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in high-acuity environments
