Associate Tech Specialist

Business Process Management Developer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business process solutions using the Flowable BPMN engine, coupled with robust Java based applications. This role requires a strong understanding of both business process management (BPM) concepts and modern Java development practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement complex business processes and workflows using the Flowable BPMN engine.
• Develop and maintain Java applications and microservices that integrate with Flowable processes.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Configure and customize Flowable components, including forms, tasks, and data models.
• Integrate Flowable with existing enterprise systems, databases, and third party services using REST APIs, message queues, and other integration patterns.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of Flowable based solutions.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end to end tests for all developed components.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in Flowable processes and Java applications.
• Contribute to technical documentation, including design specifications, API documentation, and deployment guides.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in BPM, Flowable, and Java development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Java Development: Strong proficiency in Java 8+ and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA).
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).
• Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Flowable BPM: Extensive experience with the Flowable BPMN engine for process modeling, execution, and monitoring.
• Proficiency in BPMN 2.0 notation.
• Hands on experience with Flowable Task, Flowable Modeler, and Flowable Admin.
• Experience with Flowable event processing (e.g., event listeners, boundary events).
• Understanding of CMMN and DMN is a plus.
• Web Technologies (Good to Have): Familiarity with front end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular/React) for developing user interfaces for Flowable tasks.
