ER RN Job Details – Urbana, IL Location: Urbana, Illinois 61801 Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED) Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract Start Date: September 29, 2025 End Date: December 27, 2025 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12-hour day shifts (9:00 AM – 9:30 PM), with two night shift rotations per contract Call Shifts: 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule (13-hour call shifts, must be onsite within one hour) Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1980-$2030 Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) or in an emergency department setting Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Active Illinois RN license in good standing Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association) Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care in accordance with the Emergency Department's scope of service Implement emergency care procedures and evidence-based nursing practices Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans with providers, patients, and families Adapt and modify nursing interventions based on patient condition and ongoing evaluation Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all nursing care and interventions Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital safety standards and promptly addressing hazards Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to support a healing environment Provide constructive feedback to peers and engage in ongoing professional development Meet all departmental competencies and regulatory requirements Apply now to join our healthcare team as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Urbana, Illinois.
