Hospitalist PA Opportunities

Location: Coastal Region

Our organization is currently looking for a skilled PA-C to become a part of our Nocturnist Hospitalist team at Carolina Forest in Myrtle Beach, SC. This position involves providing thorough inpatient care during the night and requires a self-assured, independent clinician who works collaboratively with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure outstanding patient-centered service.

• Qualifications: PA-C certification; BLS and ACLS certifications; at least 3 years of inpatient experience.
• Skills: Excellent clinical judgment, well-organized, and capable of working autonomously.
• Practice Structure: Two physicians available on-site during night shifts; the APP operates independently with support from nursing and administrative staff.
• Schedule: Full-time commitment (84 hours every two weeks), working 7 consecutive nights followed by 7 nights off, with no on-call duties.

• Provide 100% inpatient care.
• Conduct patient examinations, manage admissions, and evaluate patient needs.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests while collaborating with supervising physicians to develop and implement care plans.
• Coordinate discharge processes with case management.
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintain effective communication with both patients and staff.

The orientation process includes approximately 6 weeks of shadowing and training alongside an experienced APP.
