Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician:
- Assist Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders
- Perform technical duties related to handling, packaging, and distributing pharmaceuticals
- Demonstrate proficiency in two or more pharmacy function areas (e.g., production/distribution, oncology)
- Provide patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Requirements of the Pharmacy Technician:
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within specialty
- Must have experience in hazardous drug and chemo compounding, preferably in oncology facilities
