As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will interact closely with colleagues and other professionals in the mental health field, frequently engaging in case consultations and team meetings via video conferencing. Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough assessments of client family systems to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas requiring intervention.

  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, and families, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

  • Facilitate therapy sessions, including individual, couples, and family therapy, to help clients navigate relationship challenges, emotional distress, and other mental health issues.

  • Document client progress and treatment outcomes while maintaining thorough and accurate records in accordance with organizational policies and legal standards.

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing expert consultation and sharing valuable insights to enhance client care.

  • Generate comprehensive reports to serve as reliable expert evidence when required in legal situations.

  • Engage in continuous professional development through training and participation in workshops to stay current with emerging trends and best practices in marriage and family therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Solaris Counseling Services, you will work with a varied client base, including individuals, couples, families, and groups from diverse cultural backgrounds. The clinic serves clients facing numerous challenges, including relationship conflicts, grief processing, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Your role will be pivotal in promoting mental health resilience and improving family dynamics through careful, compassionate intervention.

Qualifications\n

  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

  • A valid and current LMFT license issued by the state of Texas.
  • \n
  • Completion of at least one year of supervised clinical hours, demonstrating hands-on experience in therapeutic settings.

  • Proficient in evidence-based therapies, with strong assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and adapt therapeutic approaches to a wide range of family situations.

Preferred Experience\n

  • At least one year of experience as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist is strongly preferred.

  • Experience working in community health settings or with marginalized populations is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
