Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support the safe and efficient reprocessing of surgical instruments and medical equipment in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive sterile processing experience in a similar setting and demonstrate strong knowledge of infection prevention standards and sterilization procedures. Key Responsibilities Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment. Operate and monitor sterilization equipment according to established policies and manufacturer guidelines. Perform quality assurance checks to ensure instrument functionality and sterility. Maintain accurate documentation and tracking records for sterilization processes. Ensure compliance with infection control standards, regulatory requirements, and facility protocols. Identify damaged or malfunctioning instruments and coordinate repairs or replacements. Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to maintain adequate instrument availability. Qualifications Minimum of 6–8 years of Sterile Processing experience in a similar healthcare setting. Current sterile processing certification preferred, including: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) Strong knowledge of sterilization methods, instrument tracking systems, and infection prevention practices. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
