Anesthesiologist

NAPA, the largest anesthesia provider in the country, is seeking an Anesthesiologist to join their expanding partnership with HCA Methodist Healthcare system at Methodist Texsan Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. This role offers an opportunity to work in a 120-bed facility with a full-service emergency department and specialized units. The position involves a wide range of case assignments and focuses on comprehensive patient management during surgical and medical procedures. Practice Info * Methodist Texsan Hospital is a 120-bed facility. * The hospital features a Full-Service Emergency Department, 4 operating rooms, 4 cardiac catheterization labs, a 24-hour cardiovascular emergency department, and a rooftop helicopter pad. * Methodist Healthcare System is a 50-50 co-ownership between Methodist Healthcare Ministries and HCA Healthcare. Responsibilities * Perform case assignments including Cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, electrophysiology, ECT and general. * Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department. * Be responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. * Conduct pre-anesthesia assessment. * Obtain and/or verify patient consent. * Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient. * Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. * Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform clinical intervention as needed. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine. * ECFMG and FLEX. * Completion of approved residency in anesthesia. * Currently licensed as a physician.
